The Web Design students of Pahrump Valley High School are developing this site to showcase academics, sports, clubs, and organizations available at the high school. This is a work in progress as the students learn how to design and build web pages, create the graphics, and upload the information to a web server.

The students begin the year learning about the basic hand coding XHTML. Next they learn how to make buttons and graphics for web pages using a program called Fireworks. Examples of buttons and banners are at the top of the page.

Finally they start using a program called Dreamweaver. With this program students can type and the program does the coding used by web browswer to display the information properly. If there are problems, students use XHTML to make changes manually. The students learn how to make tables, layers, set styles to use on pages, insert images and graphics, plus other skills as needed for their individual work.
