Over the past few years, the PVHS wrestling team has successfully captured the Nevada Southern 3A division title four years in a row, and each year inching closer and closer to a state championship, last year receiving second place by just a few points. The 
07-08 season proved to be the ice breaker for the trojans, as they captured their first state title, beating rival teams Spring Creek and Virgin Valley by a large deficit. The trojans marched through nearly all Nevada 3A teams and showed most 4A teams that they could not only compete in the 4A, but could win. With a team duel record of 29-3, competing in almost all class 4A competitions, the Trojans should have a successful season next year, as they are thrust into the 4A league.
