Introduction

At Pahrump Valley High School we have two different bands. We have the marching/concert band and drumline which provides entertainment at football and basketball games plus puts on concerts several times a year. The jazz band is a more advanced group of select students that perform at special community events. In 2005 the PVHS marching band and the Flag Team was the only school band from Southern Nevada to participate in the Nevada Day Parade at Carson City. They came first in their division. In 2007 both bands went to a band competition in Fallon. Concert band came in 5th and jazz band came 3rd. Every year the marching band participates in the Fall Festival Parade.
